Fontis Partners Receives Digital Makeover
Fontis Partners Receives Digital Makeover

27 November 2009

Digital creative studio Social Control has recently completed a digital rebrand of the private equity fund Rustic Canyon / Fontis Partners, LP. Parent company Rustic Canyon commissioned Social Control to create a new web presence to serve as a B2B marketing tool with general information about the fund and investment team and showcasing their portfolio companies. Along with the design and development of the website, Social Control refreshed Fontis Partners’ visual identity with a new logo.

Fontis was looking for a simple and straightforward home to feature the companies in their investment portfolio, such as Preferred Brands, Sambazon, Zoria Farms, Cabrera Capital Markets, Johnson Products, and Safe Security. The website needed to communicate very specific information to a limited audience with specialized interest. To accomplish this, Social Control designed and developed a website with clean graphics and architecture for easy loading and uncomplicated navigation to desirable information. It was coded with XHTML and CSS on top of a small PHP content management system. Though originally planned as a hybrid site, the team decided to strip away any Flash functionality and handle all animation with JavaScript, thereby assuring fast loading and mobile accessibility.

Following launch of the new site, Fontis Patners was “very happy with the results.” Partner Renee LeBran described working with Social Control as an easy process. “They were responsive to our needs and feedback, resulting in a website that we believe has great design elements and reflects the professional nature of our firm.”

Fontis Partners is based in Southern California and typically invests in companies in the Western United States with revenues between $10 and $50 million.
